Liverpool are set to recruit 1,000 new employees during biggest recruitment drive in club's history.
The stand is currently being expanded to accommodate an extra 8,500 supporters and is planned to be completed in time for the start of the 2016-17 season.
The expansion means that Anfield will hold around 54,000 supporters once completed and the club will need an extra 1,000 matchday staff to work in its kitchen, retail, catering, safety, hospitality, tours and museum teams.
Lise Jenkins, the club’s human resources director, said: “We are absolutely delighted that the expansion of the Main Stand will give a huge number of people an opportunity to be part of our football family.
“This recruitment drive supports our commitment to creating opportunities for local people and giving fans in the stadium the best possible experience.
“Anfield is well known for the warm welcome it gives visitors from all over the world and our matchday team is an extremely important part of that.”
The club is also launching a ‘ready to work’ course offering catering and hospitality opportunities at Anfield to improve the options for unemployed Liverpool residents.
